Developed in the 1970s, Sungei Kadut is one of the oldest industrial estates in Singapore. Upcoming improvement projects to rejuvenate the 400ha estate include road upgrades, innovative and sustainable building designs, and increased physical integration with the surrounding greenery and waterways. These efforts, which will take place gradually over the next 10 to 15 years, will revitalise Sungei Kadut with a fresh new look and transform the estate into a brand new business hub for existing and new businesses to grow.

Gali Batu can potentially offer new underground facilities for businesses in the North, as good granite rocks have been found at this location. Studies will be carried out to explore this possibility.
More than half of one-north’s first phase development plans have already been realised, bringing sector-specific spaces for Biomedical, Infocomm and Media companies together with a diverse mix of residential, commercial, institutional, as well as recreational facilities. The second phase of one-north's development will commence with works to enhance the connectivity between one-north, the Singapore Science Park, and the National University of Singapore (NUS) through air-rights development over the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE). To ensure capacity for future growth, studies have also been carried out on the feasibility of a potential Underground Science City for up to 4,200 scientists, researchers, and professionals in Research and Development facilities and data centres under the Kent Ridge Park.

The 320ha Seletar Aerospace Park will be dedicated to the aerospace industry and its aviation research and development activities. There will be many opportunities for collaboration and cross-fertilisation as suppliers, customers and partners from the aerospace business community are located in close proximity within the park. The growing number of companies setting up their facilities in this location will introduce interesting new jobs for all, especially residents living in the North and North-East of Singapore.
