Sky Vue, which will be official launched this weekend, has generated much interest among homebuyers and investors over its chic, contemporary design, urban concept and layouts. Nestled in Bishan, Sky Vue seeks to provide a new and exciting lifestyle development for young urbanites.
Before you rush to the sales gallery this Saturday, read this interview and see what the project has to offer.
Interview with Mr. Wong Heang Fine, CEO, Residential, CapitaLand Singapore
1. How did your team come up with the development name “Sky Vue”?
We named the development Sky Vue as we are inspired by the two sleek 37-storey high-rise towers, and the panoramic and exclusive views from the units on the higher floors, as well as the views from the stunning open-air facilities on the 37th storey that is shared by all the residents.
2. What is the point of differentiation of Sky Vue from other urban projects in Bishan, such as SkyHabitat which is another CapitaLand project?
Homes by CapitaLand cater to a broad spectrum of homebuyers across all market segments.
Sky Vue’s city fringe location, contemporary design concept and the interior finishes options appeal to the trendy urbanites. Sky Vue features two sleek 37-storey high-rise towers. Located in Bishan, the development is only a 3-minute walk to the Bishan MRT Station and a 10-minute drive to Orchard Road. In addition, Sky Vue is also close to reputable schools, as well as recreational and retail facilities.
Celebrating the individuality of potential home-owners, Sky Vue presents them with a unique customisation option that seeks to inspire them to create homes that are truly their own. Home-owners will have the option of choosing warm or cool colour schemes for the flooring and finishes in their units to match their vision of a dream home. In addition to the refined and high quality finishes showcased in each unit, every apartment features the luxury of a walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom.
While CapitaLand designs projects that are chic, functional and attractive to young buyers, it also conceptualizes iconic developments that would redefine city living and the urban skyline.
Sky Habitat is designed by Moshe Safdie, a star architect, urban planner, educator, theorist, and author who embraces a comprehensive and humane design philosophy.
Moshe Safdie’s Sky Habitat design is characterised by a dramatic stepping form, creating a three-dimensional matrix of homes, private terraces and public gardens. The development will not only redefine contemporary city living, but also change the skyline in Bishan. Sky Habitat, is a habitat for the future; a condominium that is also a house. While structurally a high-rise apartment, Sky Habitat will give residents the feeling of living in a house because of the natural ventilation, lush gardens, sky bridges and open walkways that surround them.
Sky Habitat also offers more choices of larger unit sizes. For example, a 3-bedroom unit at Sky Habitat ranges in sizes from about 1,216 and 1,862 square feet, while a 3-bedroom unit at Sky Vue will be about 1,141 – 1,259 square feet.
3. The hydrotherapy beds and baths in Sky Vue are a new innovation. Tell us more.
The variety of facilities in Sky Vue is designed to enhance the overall wellness and relaxation of its residents. The hydrotherapy beds and baths are installed to create a spa-like environment for residents to indulge and unwind at the end of a hectic day.
In addition to the hydrotherapy beds and baths, Sky Vue boasts of other amenities to facilitate both active and relaxed lifestyles, such as a 50-metre lap pool, leisure pools, tennis court, gym, fitness facilities, hammock gardens, reading pods, BBQ pavilions, movie screening room and event pavilions.
4. Sky Vue consists of 37 stories. What kind of views can homebuyers expect?
Sky Vue features four stunning open-air facilities on the 37th floor, namely the Sky Lounge, Sky Gym, Sky Walk and Sky Dream, which allow residents a panoramic, exclusive view of the surrounding cityscape and community, including the lush greenery of the Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park.
The open-air facilities will no doubt be exceptionally popular for entertaining and social get-togethers. Residents do not need to own a unit on the higher floors in order to enjoy the panoramic views.
5. Who is the target market for Sky Vue?
Sky Vue is targeted at a younger audience - singles, young couples or young families looking to stay in a contemporary well-designed development that is located at one of Singapore’s popular city fringe districts.
Other than its location in Bishan, a highly sought-after estate, Sky Vue is
conceptualized for the modern urbanite with functional layout and meticulously designed storage space. Each unit features a walk in wardrobe in its master bedroom and is fitted with a refrigerator, oven, hood & hob, washer cum dryer.
In addition, Sky Vue celebrates the individuality of young buyers by presenting them with a unique customisation option that seeks to inspire them to create homes that are truly their own. Home-owners will have the option of choosing warm or cool colour schemes for the flooring and finishes in their units to match their vision of a dream home.
6. What is the price per square foot for Sky Vue and Sky Habitat respectively?
For Sky Vue, the psf price range for Phase One is from $1380 to $1550 per square foot.
For Sky Habitat, the achieved average psf for the 173 units sold is $1,589 psf.
7. With the recent cooling measures and TDSR, how do you think it will impact consumer sentiments?
TDSR ensures that the buyers of new homes are financial sound and not over leveraged. This will benefit and ensure the stability of Singapore’s property market in the longer term. With the correct product that is relevant to this group of buyers, there will continue to be healthy sales for certain developments.
